INCIDENT SUMMARY:

The victim reports that after returning home from a friends residence in the early morning hours, he was
approached by two unknown males wearing nylons as masks.  The victim said that one of the males
brandished a weapon and demanded cash.  The victim states that he attempted to wrestle the gun from
the hands of the suspect when the gun went off, causing an injury to the victims hand.   Anyone who may
have witnessed suspicious activity in the area or who has other information is requested to contact the

VICTIM: A 29 year old resident of Kalamazoo Township.

INJURIES:  Gunshot wound to the hand.

Incident Type:               Armed Robbery

Date Occurred:               6-1-2011                Time:        10:20 a.m.

Location:                       Max 10 store, 1904 Gull Road        

Suspect:       
Described as a black male, 5’6”, 140 pounds, slim build, last seen wearing baggie clothing consisting of a
white T-shirt under a black hoodie, black pants and a black bandana that was worn over his face.
  
Incident Summary:        
Store staff reported the above described individual entered the store, displayed a black hand gun and
indicated he wanted money.  He obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store on foot in a
westerly direction.  Officers immediately set up a perimeter and requested K-9 assistance from the
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.  The KDPS K-9 tracked the suspect to the area of Bixby and
Junction Streets where the track ended.  There were no injuries reported.
